I am honored to introduce you short Film “Mon Metaverse” by Tutsy NAvArAthnA.
With this wonderful created short film our dearst friend & artist, Tutsy NAvArAthnA presents, the plethora of beauty and the ineffable possiblities for the creativity and freedom in Second Life.
But also, he brings us the questions that are relevant; What are the characteristics of the metaverse and the pros and cons that come with it.
The Metaverse breaks down these barriers and the separation between the virtual and real worlds and leads to the merging of both worlds. Many companies now rely on us being able to jump products directly and seamlessly from one web service to another, where they can take people from the real world and dive into the digital world with them.
Everyone wants to make this vision a reality. It is worth taking a look at Second Life, which is somewhat ahead of its time as it has become a prototype of a metaverse.
And we users of Second Life have developed and realized our creative sites, our friends and families have founded, we hope that commercialization will not steal our freedom and imposed laws.
“Faced with a system increasingly dominated by normalizing algorithms in the service of a radical, conservative, authoritarian right, supported by all the media. Our freedoms and democracy are being seriously challenged! It seems that it is high time to express our disagreement by all means and in all directions. The emergence of the Meta project, hailed as a revolution in cyberspace, is only the tip of the iceberg, which as Yann Minh puts it, “leads us to a paternalistic, infantilizing future similar to the times when religious morals massively imposed their absurd rules on individuals.
We can still, I hope for a moment, immerse ourselves in this surrealist space of freedom. A freedom where poetry, magic, science fiction, dreams and sensuality coexist. This what a true metaverse can look like, entirely created by its residents and not yet ruled by the powers of money!” – Tutsy NAvArAthnA
“With each new digital turn of the screw, the structures (social, economic) of the present are being locked down a little more. Are we not witnessing a conservative digital revolution, impacting our ways of life, our ways of thinking, and even our ways of social regulation, to the benefit of an algorithmic “governance” that is dangerous for public liberties and democracy? The urgency of developing critical points of view on these transformations is becoming more and more apparent every day.” – Matthieu Belbèze

The United Nations is marking the 16 Days of Activism against Gender-based Violence from 25 November to 10 December 2021, under the global theme set by the UN Secretary-General’s UNiTE campaign: “Orange the World: End Violence against Women Now!”
In the foreground this year the 16 days of activism against gender-based violence and the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, with the following hashtags
GenerationEquality #orangetheworld #16days and #spreadtheword
Nearly 1 in 3 women have been abused in their lifetime. In times of crises, the numbers rise, as seen during the COVID-19 pandemic and recent humanitarian crises, conflicts and climate disasters. A new report from UN Women, based on data from 13 countries since the pandemic, shows that 2 in 3 women reported that they or a woman they know experienced some form of violence and are more likely to face food insecurity. Only 1 in 10 women said that victims would go to the police for help.
While pervasive, gender-based violence is not inevitable. It can and must be prevented. Stopping this violence starts with believing survivors, adopting comprehensive and inclusive approaches that tackle the root causes, transform harmful social norms, and empower women and girls. With survivor-centred essential services across policing, justice, health, and social sectors, and sufficient financing for the women’s rights agenda, we can end gender-based violence.
The Generation Equality Forum that concluded in Paris in July set the momentum for decisive actions and investment to advance gender equality. The UN Trust Fund to End Violence against Women, the only global grant-making mechanism dedicated to ending and preventing all forms of violence against women, has announced a special fundraising challenge, #Give25forUNTF25, marking 25 years of grant-making to support women’s organizations around the world.

World: End Violence against Women Now!”
25 November 2021 – 12 PM SLT – “Just Another Day” by Kika Yongho
“Just Another Day” is a visual reminder about that subtle violence towards the “weaker gender” that is being perpetrated constantly and recurrently, until it becomes normality for themselves and the others.
Frustrated individuals always ready to let their smallness within rage towards their female prey within the general indifference, until the worse can happen. And so often it does.
It is our moral duty to stop this now, every day, before it spreads and escalates, for our sisters and for ourselves, wherever we can be in the picture.
Everyone can and will be a better human being.
Expo Special Thanks
This Expo would not have been possible without (in order of appearance):
Kika Yongho, SL class 2006, has been taking photos to document inworld events since the early days.
Since 2019 she has been trying to develop more expression and depth in her work, initially via self learning and experimentation and then in 2020 through a photography course organized by two good friends which really inspired her.
25 November 2021 – 12 PM SLT – “Un Giorno Come Un Altro”by Kika Yongho – Italian

26 November 2021 – 12 PM SLT – “Cry with me” by Manoji Yachvili – DJ Set by Jill Agresti
“I cried while preparing the photos for this project… hence the title of the exhibition.
Femicide (feminicide), s. m. Direct or provoked killing, physical elimination or moral annihilation of the woman and her social role.
I don’t have any more words to add to this sad noun if not falling into the banal rhetoric for which I am attaching a series of links, which could unfortunately be infinite, just doing on internet a simple search, in any languages, all over the world.” – Manoji Yachvili
Italian
– Manoji Yachvili
An huge thanks goes to:
Asia Connell for trusting and choosing me as an artist, along with the others exhibited here. Addressing this hard theme was a great challenge that I hope will have successful.
Mistero Hifeng for giving me the permission to “use” his incredible sculptures as a exhibit design.
Kika Yongho for the photo’s trick that allowed me to use the same angle for each photo.
Even if I’m an old”avatar” I reborn recently.. this is why I’ve choose as nickname Onceagain. I worked for a while on Imparafacile Island in 2009 and now I own a small art gallery where you can found my rl and sl works plus a collection of selected works of other artist of Sl.

Then there are those friends who spent so much of their time listening to me lament about this place and how much I wanted the process to speed up, but it just never did. Thank you. I love you. And your support means the world!
“Drawer that don’t close properly. Drawer that you no longer use. A faded picture stuck in the back, ton messed wrinkled one. You’ve forgotten what was like but the smell comes back. For the days you have loved close your eyes, close the drawer.”
“The name, identity and brand of “Toysoldier Thor” was born back on January 23rd, 2008 when I first logged into SecondLife® (aka SL). Since then, Toy quickly embraced so many of its exciting communities. He immediately fell in love with building content and evolved this interest into establishing a successful presence as a Creator / Store Merchant. In fact, in 2010 LL ranked Toy within the top 7% of monthly revenue earners in SL. His top selling content has been line of sculpty landscape terrain theme packs branded as “Torn Lands”. Toy expanded his market by launching his content onto other grids like InWorldz where he has a store.
In April 2010, thanks to inspiration from other amazing creators / artists, he caught the “ARTIST” bug. Toy’s art quickly expanded from an SL Photography passion into a full fledged presence as an SL Artist. In 2011 he built a large 5 floor art gallery where he now displays over 80 of his wide range of art works – both 2D wall art and 3D mesh sculptures. His art has been exhibited in several other SL public & private art galleries. His art is uniquely known for providing his “Artist’s Comments” into each work. All his work is for sale.” – Toysoldier Thor
” I was trained in Art College in Fashion Design, since then some Photography work and now.. well…my creative outlet issomewhat blocked by the vagaries of reality…from which escapes at frequent intervals , that which you now look upon.
My inspirations come from many sources, but the common thread is that all my creative works be it fashion, a photograph or a painting tells a story in some form or other. Some of the stories are deeply autobiographical, others could be inspired by a chance snippet of conversation, a memory, a line in a song or book…each one contains an emotion I was feeling strongly at the time.
I like to create a character with a life in each piece I do…mostly I think they are actually just little bits of me – (A bit scary to look at sometimes , so don’t look too deeply!
In creating each piece I have realized that the very effect of creation and layering is suggestive of the way our memories and experiences are layered on top of each other and each whole is the sum of many parts.” – Talullah Winterwolf
“If your feet hurt (foot reduction), your left arm hurts (posture correction) and you have a headache (head enlargement)… sorry, I couldn’t help it, it was due to the artistic demand. All this sounds familiar to you? Then you probably fell into the hands of Macz and Galaganfor one of their pictures and became a victim of one of their creative, sometimes somewhat crazy ideas.”
All of the colors, shapes and effects are from objects that she created inworld. Dulcis experiments with effect settings such as shininess, glow, transparency, brightness, broken objects, lighting, water refraction and others.
She uses very little post-processing in order to retain a freshness and truth in her work. The works are an original view of Second Life taken with an inquiring, abstract, artistic eye.”
Dulcis designed and built this gallery inspired by the colorful architecture of Luis Barragan and Ricardo Bofill. The entire gallery is set at an angle to make the best use of shadows. Her hope is that photographers will find it a beautiful place to take pictures. This LM will land you in front of Elysian fields, a gift to you from Dulcis.
With passion for art since childhood, I always mixed digital and various mediums with classic natural painting, my works are inspired from Dali and Picasso and they represent my emotions and visions, with always a hidden message, to make the viewers think and meditate on actual life, and its values and problems, with an abstract and surreal vision I bring my world to the art scene, with a dark goth touch and sometimes a colorful contrast of colors from impressionist palette.”
“I write. And from my heart & from my head my words form my thoughts. And from my thoughts a picture evolves. And from this evolving image a video appears. And it goes on …. and on from my heart and from my head.”
