SUMMARY:Winter Jazz Night: Elegance\, Art\, and Soul at Souland Gallery
DESCRIPTION:There is a specific kind of beauty that belongs only to January – the crisp air\, the long shadows\, and the desire to gather in a place that feels like a warm embrace. On January 3rd at 12 PM SLT\, we invite you to step in from the cold and join us for a Winter Jazz Night at the Souland´s Gallery Jazz Cafe. \nCurated by the wonderful Julana Allen\, Souland Gallery is more than just a destination; it is a “haven for those who cherish the beauty of artistic expression.” This evening\, we are bringing together art lovers and music aficionados for a night of elegant connection\, where the chill of the season meets the heat of a saxophone solo. \nThe Man Behind the Sound: Hannington Xeltentat\nThe heartbeat of this evening is my dear old friend\, Hannington Xeltentat. For those who seek depth in Second Life\, Han is a familiar name. He is the guardian of the Leonard Cohen Club and the visionary founder of The Hannington Arts Foundation (HAF). \nHan is a true Renaissance man – a poet\, artist\, and adventurer with a taste for the finer things\, from Havana cigars to the cyberpunk visions of Gibson and Stephenson. At his private region\, Xeltentat Enterprises\, he has created a sanctuary for artists to experiment without the pressures of time or finance. For our Winter Jazz Night\, Han is stepping behind the decks to play a bespoke Jazz and Blues DJ set. Having immersed himself in the genre for years\, he knows exactly how to curate a playlist that feels both classic and soulful. \n  \n\n  \n\n  \n\n  \nThe Evening’s Invitation \nThe Music: A sophisticated journey through Jazz and Blues\, hand-selected by Han to set the winter mood. \nThe Atmosphere: Think of a cozy\, high-end lounge where the conversation is as smooth as the rhythm. \nThe Aesthetic: To honor the gallery and the occasion\, our dress code is Elegant Formal. Let’s lean into the season with our finest silks\, velvets\, and tailored silhouettes. \nJoin Us\nDate & Time: January 3rd\, 12:00 PM SLT \nLocation: Souland Gallery Jazz Cafe \nDress Code: Elegant Formal \nTeleport: Jazz Cafe \n\n  \nA Personal Note of Thanks To my dear friend Hannington: thank you for your unwavering dedication to the arts and for sharing your incredible talent with us. It is a privilege to witness your vision in action\, and I am truly honored to host this beautiful winter evening with you.

SUMMARY:“Gaslighting” exhibition by Julana Allen
DESCRIPTION:There is a specific kind of cold that doesn’t come from the winter air\, but from the realization that you can no longer trust your own eyes. It’s a slow\, quiet erosion of the soul. We call it Gaslighting\, and on January 7th at 12 PM SLT\, the Artcare Gallery will open its doors to an exhibition that doesn’t just show art – it unmasks a predator. \nJulana Allen’s latest art exhibition/installation is a haunting\, visceral journey into the heart of psychological manipulation. Captured within the stark\, evocative landscapes of Angry Land (Sim Owner Stitches (angrynoob)) images serve as a mirror to a reality many endure in silence. \nThe Puppet and the Red Balloons\nJulana’s work tells the story of a woman transformed into a remotely controlled puppet. It’s a narrative of lost self-worth\, where the “red flags” were missed until the strings were already tied tight. \n"For me\, the balloons depict her hopes and dreams\," Julana shares. "But see\, they are all coated in the same red—yet still she holds onto them tightly."\n  \nIt is a devastating visual metaphor for the way a manipulator colors every aspect of a victim’s world until their very dreams are stained by the perpetrator’s influence. \nThe Many Faces of the Ghost: Real & Virtual\nGaslighting isn’t always a scream; often\, it is a whisper of arrogance and ignorance. \nIn the Physical World: It is the partner who looks you in the eye and denies your pain\, calling you “insane” until you believe them. It looks like a husband moving your keys and watching you hunt for them\, only to tell you your memory is “failing again”. \nIn the Virtual Grid: It is the “ignorance” of those who weaponize anonymity. It’s the “gaslight by ghosting” – someone disappearing and then returning to tell you they were never gone\, or that you “imagined” the depth of your connection. It’s the user who deletes a hurtful post and tells you that you’re “obsessive” for remembering it. \nThese behaviors leave us hollow\, stripping away the energy required to defend ourselves until the gaps between painful experiences become too short to allow for healing. \nA Symphony of Reclamation\nTo honor the gravity of these stories\, Artcare’s owner and curator\, Carelyna\, will step behind the decks. This is a bespoke musical narrative – a sonic tapestry designed to guide your soul through the darkness of manipulation and toward the light of self-discovery. Her music serves as the emotional bridge\, translating the silence of a victim’s pain into a powerful roar of survival. \nWe invite every guest to join us in a Dress Code of Pure White. In a world where gaslighting stains our reality with red flags\, standing together in white is a profound act of defiance. It represents the reclamation of our blank slate and our own truth. \nA Future Unbound\nJulana’s story ends with an act of defiance: the breaking of the strings. We see her finally shaking free\, walking away with a single suitcase toward a future that belongs to her alone. It is a tribute to everyone who has ever had the courage to say\, “My reality is real.” \n  \n\n  \n\n  \n\n  \n  \nEvent Details\nWhen: January 7th | 12 PM SLT \nWhere: Artcare Gallery Taxi \nMusic: A curated live set by Carelyna (Owner/Curator & DJ) \nAttire: Pure White \nInspiration: GASLIGHTING Short Film

SUMMARY:The Winter Path of Small Spirits Photography by Sethos Lionheart
DESCRIPTION:Winter possesses a specific kind of silence that only exists when we truly stop to listen. It isn’t an empty void; it’s a full\, resonant presence. It is the sound of the earth breathing under a blanket of rime\, the watchful gaze of a bird perched on a skeletal branch\, and the stubborn\, defiant glow of a lone berry against the white. \nOn January 8th at 1 PM SLT\, the Kondor Art Center invites you to step out of the digital noise and into this sacred\, hushed space. Sethos Lionheart presents The Winter Path of Small Spirits\, a real-life photography exhibition that feels less like a gallery showing and more like a quiet pilgrimage through the soul of the season. \nA Celtic Vision of the Cold\nDrawing deep inspiration from ancient Celtic traditions\, Sethos doesn’t just capture images of winter; he translates its language. In these traditions\, the world is “animistic” – meaning every grove\, every stone\, and every frozen stream possesses an inward life. When the leaves fall away and the landscape is stripped bare\, the “veil” thins\, and these small spirits become visible to those patient enough to look. \n  \n\n  \n\n  \n\n  \nSethos’s camera acts as a bridge between the seen and the unseen. His work focuses on the intimate: the way frost crystallizes on a leaf or the quiet dignity of the winter woods. It’s an invitation to see the land as our ancestors once did – as a living\, breathing entity that remains very much awake\, even in its deepest slumber. \n  \n\n  \n\n  \nMusic\, Motion\, and Ice\nThe experience at Kondor Art Center extends far beyond the frames on the walls. To celebrate the opening\, the gallery has been transformed into a winterly sanctuary\, complete with ice skating floors and immersive animations. It is a space designed for “walking softly” and lingering in the atmosphere. \nThe Opening Celebration Schedule: \n1 PM SLT: The exhibition opens with the soulful sounds of Phil Setner. One of Second Life’s premier vocalists\, Phil’s range -from Jazz and easy listening to country and rock – provides the perfect melodic backdrop for your first walk through the path. \n2 PM SLT: The energy remains intimate and heartfelt as Horus Cedrus takes the stage. Performing live on the piano and sharing his vocals\, Horus will carry the spirit of the exhibition into a rhythmic\, atmospheric finale that speaks directly to the soul. \nAbout the Artist\nSethos Lionheart is a photographer and digital artist whose work centers on the quiet\, spirit-filled presence of the natural world. Drawn especially to winter landscapes\, he seeks out the subtle enchantments that emerge when the land grows still – berries glowing beneath frost\, lone leaves clinging to bare branches\, birds watching from the edges of silence. His practice is guided by a patient\, attentive way of seeing inspired by the animistic traditions of early Celtic Europe\, where every tree and stone was understood to possess its own inward life. \n\n  \n\n  \nEvent Details\nWhat: The Winter Path of Small Spirits by Sethos Lionheart \nWhere: The Kondor Art Center \nWhen: January 8th\, starting at 1 PM SLT \nCome for the art\, stay for the music\, and leave with a renewed sense of wonder for the world that thrives beneath the snow.

SUMMARY:Art Installation: Fractured Balance – Ongoing Yield by Debora Kaz
DESCRIPTION:Between Red Signals and Digital Blood: The Unyielding Pulse of Debora Kaz \nThere are moments in the digital landscape when the boundary between “user” and “experience” doesn’t just blur – it dissolves. On January 15th at 1 PM SLT\, the Kondor Art Center becomes the stage for such a transformation. \nDebora Kaz\, a visionary who maneuvers between the rigor of systems architecture and the fluid vulnerability of visual arts\, is set to unveil “Fractured Balance – Ongoing Yield.” It isn’t merely an exhibition; it is an immersive machine designed to process the human spirit. \nThe Architecture of Tension\nWhen I spoke with Debora about the installation\, she didn’t describe a gallery; she described a device. Here\, the architecture doesn’t offer shelter. Instead\, it directs. Light doesn’t merely illuminate; it marks. Throughout the journey\, the color red pulse – not as a decorative choice\, but as a persistent signal of alert\, failure\, and the sheer will to continue. \nAs a visitor\, you aren’t a distant observer. You are the kinetic energy that powers the system. Through movement\, you cross an environment that fragments and repeats your experience\, pushing your body forward into a continuity that never quite finds its resolution. \nTime with a Residue\nTime in Fractured Balance isn’t a clean\, ticking clock. While temporal markers suggest a functional linearity\, the logic soon becomes unstable. Moments overlap and shift\, leaving behind a “residue.” It reminds us that while time moves on\, it carries the weight of what came before. \nThe Body as a Symbolic Surface\nAt the heart of this system is the female body\, appearing as an avatar. Debora presents it not as an individual\, but as a symbolic surface where expectations and exhaustion accumulate. It is a presence that sustains both beauty and weight—fragmented\, framed\, and insistent. There is no easy story here\, only the raw persistence of existing within a system that seeks to categorize and control. \nThe Sensory Undercurrent\nThe installation operates on two layers. The public layer is visual and spatial – light\, repetition\, and progression. But beneath that lies an intimate\, sensory layer built on codes and pauses. This isn’t a layer to be “rationalized”; it is one to be recognized. \nDebora shared that the creation process was deeply emotional\, born from states of fear\, pleasure\, and doubt. This somber atmosphere wasn’t chosen for “the look” – it was chosen for its fidelity to lived experience. \nThe Interval of Breath\nAmidst the density and the “noise” of the system\, there is one singular pause. A moment where the space slows down. It isn’t a resolution\, but a possibility – a brief interval where the system fails just enough for the soul to remain suspended\, if only for a heartbeat. \nAbout the Artist\nDebora Kaz (De Solis) is a graduate of FAAP and a systems architecture consultant whose work investigates memory and female presence within virtual worlds. Her recent Corrupted Presence series – 37 works documenting the dissolution of the body into “Digital Blood” – serves as a poignant precursor to this installation. \n\n  \nEvent Details: \nWhat: Fractured Balance – Ongoing Yield by Debora Kaz \nWhen: January 15th\, 1 PM SLT \nWhere: Kondor Art Center \nSoundscape: A live music set by DJ hEIN! will accompany the experience. You can catch a glimpse of the energy hEIN! brings in this performance. \nThe work does not end when you leave. It remains open\, operating as a prolonged state of attention. \nWill you step into the system? \nWatch the Atmosphere: hEIN – YouTube
