The Historical Heart
A Heritage of Wonder Since 2008, the name Sanctuary has held a rare significance in the history of Second Life. Originally sparked by the “brilliant and delightfully unhinged” mind of Emerald Melbourne, it stood for eighteen years as a titan of historical roleplay and a recipient of the 2016 Avi-Choice Award.
The Crossroads of Evolution When the digital tides shifted, Princess Regent Stevie Basevi chose a path of evolution over disappearance. Driven by a heart deeply rooted in the stories shared across these lands, she guided Sanctuary through its Story of Progression—transforming a site of combat into a vibrant cultural haven dedicated to photography, dance, and music.
A Dream Brought to Life To realize this vision, Stevie collaborated with master builder Busta Blakewell .
“I sent him many pictures of what I hoped to have, Stevie reflects. He built my ideas and even much more.”
Together, they have crafted a seamless, “storybook” environment where guests move freely between the creative galleries of Sanctuary and the residential heart of Zantosa. It is a visual experience designed for exploration, wonder, and the next enchanted chapter of our community.
