When twilight falls and the world’s noise fades, true music opens the door to reverie. Sanctuary will host Mendellson’s Symphony of Light & Shadow, a landmark classical and orchestral performance, on Sunday, August 2nd at 12:00 PM SLT. This performance, centered on the grandeur of the grand piano and lush string textures, brings Mendellson together with an intimate string ensemble of close collaborators, including special guest Anu Papp.
The program combines deeply personal original piano and string compositions with brilliantly reimagined versions of timeless classics. Mendellson’s touch on the keys translates subtle emotional shifts into sound, created entirely by human hand and heart, with no assistance from artificial intelligence. The music moves through delicate contrast corridors, alternating between quiet longing and soaring cinematic majesty, elegance and mystery, light and shadow.
The event’s dress code is Elegance, which complements the ethereal atmosphere. Guests are encouraged to dim their physical room lighting, dress in formal virtual attire, and enter our grand hall for an unforgettable experience. Stay until the last movement, when the concert culminates in an exciting grand finale featuring a surprise guest opera singer.
