The human form has always functioned as the ultimate silent poet because it uses spinal curves and light patterns on skin to communicate. The Souland Gallery will showcase its opening event on February 11th at 12 PM SLT through an exhibition which displays deep connections between physical entities and their photographic counterparts. Kymothoee Waters presents her exhibition “Wrapped in Their Nudity” through an exhibition which transforms the gallery space into an intense tribute to the artists who taught us true visual perception.

This collection presents an organized collection which contains photography’s most significant artists—both male and female photographers who created timeless images and current artists who develop their own distinct styles. Kymothoee demonstrates her artistic brilliance through her use of “wrap” technique. She created digital “skins” from actual artwork to show her model the fundamental elements of historic artworks.

The Artistic Vision: Skin as a Storyboard
The concept exhibits both simple beauty and complex beauty. Kymothoee has taken the lines, shadows, and textures of renowned photography and integrated them directly onto the Second Life figure. The model achieves complete immersion through her performance because she does not simply approach the artwork.

The exhibit space provides an opportunity for visitors to experience empathy through visual elements. Can you sense the weight of the shadows on her skin? The classic composition from decades past displays itself through a fresh rhythmic movement that now exists in modern times.

Kymothoee describes how she “becomes them” through her complete understanding of legendary photographers’ artistic viewpoints. She expresses happiness through dance and movement which she performs according to their different artistic interpretations.

The visual show needs a complete atmosphere which DJ Still Waters will create through his musical selection during the opening show. The soundscape will create two different sound patterns which reflect the exhibition content.
