White is rarely just a color. It is a breath, a pause, a boundless realm in which the soul can finally hear its own echo. In her new exhibition White Series, displayed at the renowned The Kondor Art Center, Mareea Farrasco asks us to enter this silent light. Owner of IMAGO Gallery and a dear friend, Mareea always had a perfect instinct for beauty, which she translates here into an exquisite and sophisticated reflection upon the power of not-said.

More than a group of images, White Series is a series of quiet acknowledgements. In Mareea’s gaze, white paradoxically reveals and conceals at the same time, providing protection to the borders of the world but also depth to what hides within. Underpinning it all is Mareea’s distinctive tender touch, an echo of comfort, a certain whisper of what is real, and intimately personal.

In Mareea’s works we perceive a home finally found, a homing to a place that exists in dreams, a certain sadness and melancholy for a great beauty. It feels like all images are painted with light, moments which speak in silence. It is the loneliness of a figure on a foggy coast or a friend’s delicate white shape; every frame, a blank space where we, as observers, are asked to paint our own memories.

The White Series: Mareea Farrasco’s Whispers of Light and Memory

Mareea Farrasco’s art is an encouragement to pause, take a breath, and occupy the space in between our thoughts. It is a celebration of the notion that if we desire to perceive our world better we first must let ourselves into the innocent candor of white.

White Series is the chance to appreciate an artist who fully grasps the perfect balance between subtlety and potency.

It is highly recommended to meander throughout the Kondor Art Squer and let Mareea Farrasco’s art resonate with your soul.
